It has been banned in most parts of the world, either for recreational or medical purposes. There is no scientific backing for any efforts to ban marijuana from medical use. those who are strongly opposed to marijuana are in cohorts with the pharmaceutical companies, who politicize the whole issue.
Medical marijuana has come in handy in assisting patients, especially those in the various stages of cancer. It assists them to overcome nausea experienced during chemotherapy, as well as from the disease itself as it progresses. The pharmaceutical companies will reciprocate such support trough covering the campaign expenses, or other forms of appreciation. This ensures that no law will ever pass that allows for the medical use of marijuana.
It is also important to examine the alternatives to marijuana and pharmaceutical products. This argument does not hold, since that would mean subjecting people to far worse and heavier drugs, with proven track records of extreme dependency and havoc to the users’ lives. Some have tried to use cocaine, heroin, and oxytocin for medical purposes. They proven terrible at their job. They have shown that they cannot be relied on in this regard. These drugs make marijuana even more reasonable. They show how cost-effective and efficient it is in the application of such diseases. It also exists naturally, unlike them.
The political and pharmaceutical interest groups present the biggest hindrance to the adoption of marijuana as the best alternative to the treatment of the effects of some of the most painful diseases known to man. It would be a brilliant idea to allow for the setting up or more marijuana dispensaries in the world. This would present the best option to those in pain and suffering. This drug problem is actually a solution.
